ABOUT

Want Less Give More (WLGM) is a part of a ministry that begin over a decade ago when husband and wife team James and Mona Harper moved to Stone Mountain, Georgia to start Kingdom City Church. Since the early 90s's KCC has always sought to help those who were in need in whatever way possible and simply share the love of Jesus Christ.After many years of ministry and wanting less and giving more, the name "Want Less Give More" was coined, after two of Kingdom City Church's members, Patrick and Morgan (Harper) Nichols decided to make bracelets to raise money for March 2011 Japanese earthquake victims. From that point on, WLGM continued to grow in the metro Atlanta community and the love to WLGM begin to spread around the globe. Want Less Give More provides everyone with an opportunity to do just that. Whether it's developing a free summer camp or providing a community with clean drinking water. No matter what it is we're doing, we're simply seeking to Want Less ad Give More in whatever way possible.It's that simple.Contact us

2011 Japanese Tōhoku Earthquake and Tsunami Relief - Stockbridge, GaIn March 2011, Japan and surrounding areas were devastated by what has said to be one of the most powerful earthquakes in human history tha left 15,828 people dead, 5,942 injured, and 3,760 people missing. Patrick and Morgan decided that they had to do something. They decided to paint the Japanese flag on hemp string and make bracelets. They posted the bracelets online and with every bracelet sold, they donated money to the earthquake relief efforts of the American Red Cross. In just a week and a half, they were able to send out over 200 bracelets everywhere from New Zealand to New York and were able to raise more money for the relief efforts than they could have ever imagined. This is also known as the project that helped to coin the name Want Less Give More. Read more here.

The City Kid's Club is a program for children from low performing schools designed to give them opportunities that they would likely not have otherwise.The NeedDowload complete listThe StoryJamie-Grace invites you to join her in this WLGM challenge. She has chosen the WLGM 180-hour challenge to assist with the City Kids Club in Stone Mountain, Georgia. This is a personal challenge as she has served as Children's Minister and assistant in Children's Outreach Ministry at Kingdom City Church (host church for City Kids Club) for 8 years. As God has opened additional doors for music ministry, she has been on the road and away from her home church on most Sundays but still uses every possible opportunity to share with the children in the ministry. The CKC is resuming in January 2012 to assist children in elemetary school with tutoring, special school projects, etiquette classes, music, oratorical skills, fitness, healthy eating, plain old fashioned fun, recycling, and most importantly bible classes. This programs offers an intergrated approach wherein biblical principles are woven into every subject that is presented. This programs draws children from troubled homes, low performing schools, 3rd generartion high school dropouts, orphaned or abandoned by one or both parents, and basically as Jesus describes them - "the least of these." The program will serve 24-30 children every Wednesday after school until 8:15pm The program is free and a healthy balanced dinner is served along with healthy snacks. Parents are invited to join the children for dinner and bible study and life skill classes during the 7 o'clock hour. The children will be picked up and brought to the church and dropped off after bible study. The club colors are lime green, black, and white.WANT LESS and get involved with this project GIVE MORE to the projectThe Sent Photo Project - Metro Atlanta, GaStaying in touch with faraway loved ones can easily be taken for granted with mobile phones and the internet - especially with social networking. The Sent Photo Project was started by local photographers who want to take, print, and help send photographs to family members and loved ones of those who don't have access to luxuries such as email, social networking, etc. to be able to share photos with their loved ones who live far away. WANT LESS and get involved with this project | GIVE MORE to the project
